Coronavirus Vaccine

The world health organization announced on Friday that the "world's largest randomized control trial on COVID-19 therapeutics'' found"conclusive evidence" that remdesivir and three other drugs had "little or no effect'' in reducing coronavirus deaths.

A Coronavirus Vaccine or covid vaccine is the several different vaccines intended to provide acquired immunity against coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19). previously work to develop a vaccine against the coronavirus diseases SARS and MERS established knowledge about the structure and function of coronaviruses-which accelerated development during early 2020 of varied technology platforms for the Coronavirus Vaccine or covid vaccine. As of October 2020, there were 321 vaccine candidates in development, a 2.5 fold increase since April.how ever, no candidate has completed clinical trials to prove its safety and efficacy. In October, some 42 vaccine candidates were in clinical research: namely 33 in Phase 1-2 trials and 9 in phase 2-3 trials.       

The world health organization (WHO), the coalition for epidemic preparedness Innovation (CEPI), and the gates foundation (GF) are committing money and organizational resources for the prospect that several vaccines will be needed to prevent continuing Coronavirus Vaccine or covid vaccine INFECTION. The CEPI, which is organizing a US$2 billion worldwide fund for rapid investment and development of vaccine candidates, indicated in September that clinical data to support licensure may be available by the end of 2020. on 4 May 2020, the WHO organized a telethon that received US$8.1 billion in pledges from forty countries to support the rapid development of vaccines to prevent Coronavirus Vaccine or covid vaccine INFECTION. At the same time, WHO also announced the deployment of an international "solidarity trial" for simultaneous evaluation of several vaccine candidates reaching Phase 2-3 clinical trials.  

PRECLINICAL TESTING: Scientists test the new vaccine on cells and give it to animals such as mice or monkeys to see if it produces an immune response. we have confirmed 91 preclinical vaccines in active development.

PHASE 1 SAFETY TRIALS: Scientists give the vaccine to a small number of people to test safety and dosage as well as to confirm that it stimulates the immune system.

PHASE 2 EXPANDED TRIALS: Scientists give the vaccine to hundreds of people split into groups, such as children and the elderly, to see if the vaccine acts differently in them. these trails further test the vaccine's safety and ability to stimulate the immune system.

PHASE 3 EFFICACY TRIALS: Scientists given the vaccine to thousands of people and wait to see how many become infected, compared with volunteers who received a placebo. These trials can be determined if the vaccine protects against the coronavirus.

APPROVAL: Regulators in each country review the trial result and decide whether to approve the vaccine or not. During a pandemic, a vaccine may receive emergency use authorization before getting formal approval. once who receives it to make sure it's safe and effective.

CORONAVIRUS VACCINE: VOLUNTEER IN OXFORD UNIVERSITY COVID-19 VACCINE TRIAL DIES

 Brazil's health authority has confirmed a volunteer has died because of participating in the clinical trials of the coronavirus vaccine development by AstraZeneca and oxford university. The country's health minister, Anvisa confirmed the person died following the trial of the drug. The health authority said the investigation will be held on the matter. Despite the death of the person, the health authority confirmed trials will continue.  "The drug is currently undergoing phase three clinical trials in the country. Brazil has a plan in place to purchase the drug and produce it as its biomedical research center if it clears the final phase of trials." Despite the death of the volunteer, oxford university has stated there are no concerns surrounding the safety of the trials.
