In wake of the emerging threat from China in the Indian subcontinent, and Beijing's threatening advances in the South and East China Sea regions, India and the US have taken strategic measures to halt the Red Dragon's juggernaut and establish a dominant force in the Indo-Pacific region.
The USINDOPACOM is one of the six geographic combatant commands set up by the Department of Defense's Unified Command Plan to ensure order in the region, along with the support of Australia and Japan, which together also from the Quad.
In line with the same objective, the Indian Army Vice-Chief Lieutenant General Satinder K Saini met USINDOPACOM Chief. The 36 nations that comprise the Asia-Pacific region are home to over 50% of the world's population and many of the world's largest militaries, along with five key nations that are allied with the US. It is a heavily militarized area, with the presence of seven of the world's 10 largest standing militaries and five of the world's powerful nuclear nations.
